A response to a request to create a postcard for the international Holocaust Memorial day for the Yad Vashem Museum in Israel. It had to reflect my opinions on the Holocaust. No strong visual imagery was allowed to be used and no type.

I made a postcard out of glass and incased it in an acrylic box. The idea being that by the time it reached the museum in Israel the glass would be shattered and almost unrecognisable. The postcard, acting as a visual metaphor for vulnerability and giving reference to the beginning of the Holocaust Crystal nacht - the night of broken glass.
